Just happened on this site while searching for some lore on Prince Rurik. Happens he might have existed in the real world!

who gained control of Ladoga in 862 and built the Holmgard settlement (Rurikovo Gorodische) in Novgorod.
Reminds me of ruriks attempt to make the ascalon settlement. It did happen, but he died.

Rurik is the reason so many warriors learned to rush and agro mobs! hehe He set the standard for bum rushing whilest the team is still half dead.

And it was so great. I managed to be leader of a PuG who only had one person that'd been through it before. We all had a dance party on his dead undead carcase.

/pun I got to 'Axe' Rurik why he annoyed me so many times....hehe get it....I'm an axe warrior....I axe him....oh bother nevermind
